Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy sets the rules for everyone who uses ClipHaus: creators, editors, and administrators, and anyone accessing the platform through one of their accounts. It forms part of our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this policy and the Terms, the Terms control.

1. Content you submit

1.1 Only submit content you have rights to

Do not upload, link, or submit any episode, footage, audio, music, artwork, or other material that you do not own or hold all necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions for, as warranted in Section 4.2 of the Terms. That includes episodes belonging to a network, employer, sponsor, or another creator, guest appearances you do not control, and music or clips from third parties embedded in an episode, where you do not hold the rights needed for clipping and publication.

1.2 No infringing, defamatory, or unlawful material

Do not submit, request, or produce material that:

  • infringes any person’s copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
  • is defamatory, or that you know or should know contains false statements of fact about an identifiable person;
  • is unlawful to record, hold, edit, or publish in the place it was made or where it will be published;
  • contains another person’s private information, such as home addresses, personal contact details, or financial information, without their consent;
  • is child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or material that sexualises minors: such material is prohibited absolutely and will be reported to the appropriate authorities where the law requires or permits;
  • promotes violence, terrorism, or criminal activity, or gives instructions for wrongdoing; or
  • breaches a court order, a platform rule that applies to the content, or an embargo or confidentiality obligation you are under.

1.3 No misleading clipping

Clips must represent speakers fairly. Do not request, produce, approve, or publish edits that misrepresent what a speaker said or meant, including:

  • cutting a statement so that it reverses or materially changes its meaning, drops a qualification that changes its sense, or joins separate remarks to create a statement nobody made;
  • adding titles, captions, hook text, or thumbnails that attribute to a speaker a claim, opinion, or endorsement they did not make;
  • presenting a guest’s words as the host’s, or one episode’s words as another’s;
  • reordering an answer to attach it to a different question, or using reaction shots or audio from a different moment to change the apparent meaning; or
  • editing a clip to make a product, service, person, or event appear endorsed where no endorsement exists.

Normal short-form editing is expected and allowed: trimming pauses and digressions, tightening an answer, adding accurate captions, and choosing a genuinely representative strong moment as the hook are all part of the Service. The line is crossed when the edit changes what a reasonable viewer would understand the speaker to have said.

2. How clips and the Service may be used

2.1 No fake engagement

We are a clipping service, not an engagement service. Do not use the Service, or ask us or an editor to use it, to create, coordinate, or support fake engagement of any kind, including purchased or automated views, likes, comments, followers, or shares, bot or multi-account posting networks, or comment or review manipulation.

2.2 No spam posting services

Do not use the Service to run a spam posting operation: mass-posting the same or near duplicate clips across accounts or platforms to flood feeds, posting clips with deceptive links or calls to action, or producing clips whose purpose is to drive traffic to scams, phishing pages, or unlawful offers. Publishing your own show’s clips on your own channels, in the ordinary way, is of course allowed.

2.3 No resale of access

Do not resell, rent, broker, or give third parties access to your account, your package quota, or the dashboards, and do not submit episodes for shows you are not authorised to act for in order to use another organisation’s package.

3. Platform integrity

3.1 No probing or abusing the platform

You must not:

  • probe, scan, or test the platform, its dashboards, its storage, or its APIs for vulnerabilities, except through a genuine security report sent to security@arafatarzu.me without accessing other users’ data;
  • attempt to access accounts, organisations, shows, episodes, clips, invoices, or payout records that are not yours, or to bypass role-based access, approval status, quota, or upload authorisations;
  • upload files outside the authorised upload flow, overwrite another version, or submit files that are mislabelled, corrupted on purpose, or contain malware;
  • interfere with the Service, overload it, or attempt to reverse its quota, billing, or payout records; or
  • upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or files intended to compromise the platform or its users.

3.2 No credential sharing

Accounts are personal. Do not share your login credentials with anyone, let another person work or submit under your account, or use another person’s account. An organisation that needs more people in the dashboard should ask us to add them as members, at support@arafatarzu.me, rather than sharing a login. Editors in particular must never share accounts: work and pay are recorded per editor account.

3.3 No scraping the dashboards

Do not scrape, crawl, harvest, or automatically extract data from the dashboards or the platform, and do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit episodes, post comments, download files in bulk, or monitor other accounts. Ordinary use of the dashboard in a browser, and downloading your own delivered clips, are allowed. Automated access we have authorised in writing is also allowed, within the limits of that authorisation.

3.4 Accurate information

Do not impersonate another person, show, or organisation, misrepresent your connection to a show, or provide false rights, billing, or identity information. Do not create accounts to evade a suspension, a quota limit, or an approval decision.

4. Editors: additional rules

  • Do not download, keep, or reuse client footage outside the assignment, and do not publish or portfolio any client material without the prior written permission described in Section 6 of the Terms.
  • Do not contact a client, host, or guest directly about an assignment, a dispute, or payment except through the dashboard or as an administrator directs.
  • Do not subcontract or hand an assignment to another person, and do not work under another editor’s account.
  • Do not discuss unreleased episodes, clips, or client business outside the assignment team.

5. Enforcement

We may enforce this policy proportionately to the seriousness and history of the breach. Enforcement steps include:

  • removing or disabling access to specific content, clips, or submissions;
  • pausing an episode, job, or organisation’s submissions while a report is reviewed;
  • warning the account holder and requiring a problem to be fixed before work continues;
  • suspending an account temporarily, or terminating it for serious or repeated breaches, under Section 15 of the Terms;
  • cancelling editor assignments and, for a breach of the editor rules in the Terms, recording payout adjustments only as those Terms allow; and
  • referring unlawful material or activity to the appropriate authorities, and cooperating with valid legal process.

We may act immediately, and without prior warning, where content or behaviour risks harm to a person, to rights holders, or to the platform. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell the account holder what rule was breached and what we have done.

5.1 Audit records are kept

Enforcement is recorded. Status changes, access and upload events, content removals, warnings, suspensions, and the reasons for them are written to our append-only audit records and kept for accounting, security, and dispute purposes, as described in the Privacy Policy. Audit records are not deleted at an account holder’s request where we need them for those purposes.

5.2 Appeals

If you believe an enforcement decision was made in error, contact support@arafatarzu.me with your account email, the decision you are appealing, and the facts you rely on. We will review the audit record and reply. A decision about infringing material follows the counter-notice process in the Copyright Policy instead.

6. Reporting a breach

To report a breach of this policy, contact support@arafatarzu.me. To report a security issue, contact security@arafatarzu.me. To report copyright infringement, follow the Copyright Policy and write to legal@arafatarzu.me.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page, and material changes will be notified to active account holders by email or through the dashboard.
